Title: Social Procurement Coordinator

$55,000 – $60,000 annual salary

By building relationships between social suppliers and purchasers, Buy Social Canada is leading the movement for community capital creators across the country.

Our team is fast paced as interest in social procurement is skyrocketing. We are looking for someone with writing and facilitation skills to work with corporations, governments, non-profits, and institutions to support the development of social procurement policies, implementation strategies and training.

Social procurement is an emerging field. We are looking for someone who can learn and contribute with their existing skills. This could be you if you are:

  • Passionate about social and community impact
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong writing and communications skills
  • Excited to bring unique talents and skills to the team. Our team background runs the gamut from law, economics and community development to journalism and even Italian literature!

Responsibilities

  • Administrative support for internal and external meetings including:
    • Coordination of internal and external meetings
    • Drafting of minutes and meeting summaries from internal and external meetings
    • Drafting follow-up correspondence from meetings
  • Coordination of Community Benefit Agreement (CBA) Independent Third-Party Monitor services in Vancouver including coordinating and attending meetings with clients, data collection and key tool editing
  • Coordination and administrative support on key Buy Social Canada initiatives, training and consulting projects
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required (based on operational requirements and your interests and skills)

Role details

Our remote working team is located in Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON. We are looking for someone based in British Columbia or Alberta who can work full time remote.
