The 28 social enterprises surveyed were all impacted by COVID-19 in 2020. Some closed for good while others pivoted and prospered

This year has revealed the ability for the social enterprise sector to play a leadership role in COVID-19 response for the inner city with food security and helping to keep residents safe. These social enterprises have persisted in being key players in Vancouver’s local economy as demonstrated by the annual sales of $18 million, and the ability to respond from community, for community in a time of crisis
